I have an error while playing Bah at Mount Galthrax L2. Unhandled exception: c0000005 At address: 0048d077 I got this error while flipping the third lever in the bank of three in a row. Anyone have any ideals? Thanks in advance for any help. gcmaxxon :) -------------------- quote: Posts: 97 | Registered: Wednesday, March 19 2003 08:00 |

Are you playing with v1.0.6? If so, upgrade to v1.0.7, and hopefully this will go away. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. I'm sure the author would like a copy of the saved game immediately prior to the crash. Windows, right? Did you have a bunch of stuff running or just Blades? Have you fiddled with the data folder at all? Edit - Hmmm. He waits for Kel to answer, but Kel is doing something else. So he answers and finds that Kel types faster and has a less arduous signature to type. He hopes his answer is not too bad, and then notices he is using v1.0.4 and didn't get any of those errors. Hmmmm. *this message sponsored by the anderson company - makers of better windows** [ Friday, July 15, 2005 21:38: Message edited by: Jumpin' Salmon ] -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Open the readme in the Bahssikava folder. What version does it say the scenario is? Then I refer you to my original post on the matter. EDIT: Specifically, download the new version and replace your old folder with the new one. The error ought to go away. Keladon FYI: Updated only the .bas file. This was done based upon Thuryl's comment: "Sounds uncomfortably like a corrupted .bas file. Hope you have a backup." So far every thing is working fine, but time will tell. This link should show the pic  http://mysite.verizon.net/reso9uf7/id2.html -------------------- quote: Posts: 97 | Registered: Wednesday, March 19 2003 08:00 |

The other link works fine. You just have to copy and paste it into your browser... -------------------- Lt. Sullust Cogito Ergo Sum Polaris Posts: 2462 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

As it turns out the problem wasn't the .bas file after all; it was an obscure bug in BoA. But if it doesn't crash any more, well, that's the important thing. Updating the .bas file doesn't fix the underlying problem. The main change between versions was in the file slithhomedata.txt. You may still experience crashes later on. Do a full update. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Smoo: Get ready to face the walls! Hi, Finished Bahssikava, great game best yet. BTW, the game did crash one more time. It was when I was going up to the third level. So I had to replace all the games files with the latest files from Keladon's web site. :) Just thought you like to know. gcmaxxon -------------------- quote: Posts: 97 | Registered: Wednesday, March 19 2003 08:00 |

dumb question... i have 1.6 and downloaded 1.7. will i have to start the scenario over again in the new version? I can't get down a slope without this error, so I can't continue. is there anyway to continue with this group from the point I am at in the new version, without repeating everthing from the beginning? probably not, but I thought I would try and ask. ddr  p.s. love the scenario so far [ Wednesday, July 20, 2005 19:04: Message edited by: ddr ] Posts: 2 | Registered: Wednesday, July 20 2005 07:00 |

Hi, I hope you have a saved file just prior to this error. If you do, just remove old files and replace them with the newer version. I always do a lot of saving just prior to any new area or when I'm not sure of what to do. This way you don't have to start over. Hope this helps. BTW, hange in there, it's a great game. gcmaxxon -------------------- quote: Posts: 97 | Registered: Wednesday, March 19 2003 08:00 |

Yes, as far as I know, if you replace all your files and just reload the saved game, you should be fine. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens.
