Were you speaking to the spider in the northeast corner (ie, actually selling the items rather than buying them)? Did you end up with more than 30000 coins and therefore overload BoA? Otherwise, I really have no idea how that could happen. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. I have sold things to the spider while I had 30000 coins several times. Being that you are not able to carry any more money he would buy my things and the coins amount would remain the same (as it is suppose to). I've never heard of that causing problems. It causes problems in one particular case: if you sell a single item sufficient to bring your coin total over 32767 coins from where you are, an overflow results, and your coins go negative. This is bad, but it's an inherent BoA problem. Solution: don't sell stuff when you already have 30000 coins. There should be some sort of banking system instituted in BOA. Perhaps somehow in the HLPM. There a player could store perhaps, 1 million coins and access them in 30,000 coin allotments. I now the coin limit has been upped from 15- 30,000 but somehow it really isn't enough at timez. -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. There's a little thing called the Character Editor... The HLPM can't store money between scenarios, though. Everything that you did in the HLPM is gone the next time you enter it. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. One way to do "banking" would be the ability to trade 10000 coins for a weightless, unstackable item worth 28500 coins (thus sellable for up to 9975 coins, depending on the shop -- note, the item MUST be unstackable because stacks of items don't sell for their correct value if that value is over 32767.) -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Yeah that would work. I just think it would be cool to have a bank. Maybe Jeff will have one in A4, probably not though :( -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. Posts: 2395 | Registered: Friday, November 2 2001 08:00 |

The literal concept of a bank in a scenario would not be possible. HLPM is a scenario so when you leave, it like all others resets. Using the character editor is the bank. No need to worry about money when you can get 30000 in two clicks. That and money is pretty easy to come by most of the time. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

You probably could not have a bank, but I am sure you could have a mint where imperial coins are produced from gold, silver, and copper bars. -------------------- Wasting your time and mine looking for a good laugh. That is a good idea. it could also be the beginning of a scenario. You are in Blank Town. Blank is at blank place. He gives you the mission to sobotage the mint. You either can do it or report it to the authorities. P.S. If you use my idea, please put my name in your readme. :) -------------------- Trouser Snake. Mustakrakish. Infiltrators? No. Agents? YES!! The problem is gone. I reloaded the newest HLPM and it fixed it. I do have an idea though. An Item replicator. I have found items in certain scenerios that I'd like to have for mutliple charaters, but the only way to get more than one is to keep replaying the same scenerio over and over. It's kinda tedious. What if there was an area in the HLPM where you take a character with the item, have them place it in a booth close the door and then input the info and it would make copies of the item with all it's attributes. Okay, lets say you place a pair of "slippers of speed" into the first booth. Then you step to, say, a Vahnatai console. it gives you a pop-up box that asks how many copies you'd like. You then enter a number from 1 - X, where X is the number of "copy creation/retrieval booths" there are. Lets say that there are 3 total booths for making copies available. you enter "3" and a pop-up box would say that the process has begun. some fun looking light displays and then another pop-up would read something like "The copying process is complete. Retreive your original and the copies now." and then, when the booths are opened, each booth would have one pair of slippers of speed or whatever was in the original booth. If course, to be fair, the whole thing would probably require a fee based on what is copied and how many copies are made. This is not possible. However, TM's Artifacts Hall is supposed to make things like this easier. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. It isn't? why not? wouldn't it just require the HLPM to read what the item in one place is and then place another one in another place? Posts: 22 | Registered: Friday, May 14 2004 07:00 |

Slip in a few items that can only be found in the HLPM-- nothing powerful, just unusual. I know this is supposed to be an editor, but it might be interesting to see a few unique items here and there. One of the items that can only be found in the HLPM not the scenarios so far is Polished Platemail. Another is Micah's Gloves. Nothing quite so powerful, however. The HLPM right now is based primarily around using default objects (items, creatures, etc) for everything except the god items. I just may do this for the next version, in the same way that I'd add variety to the Arena. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens.
