Kalinging Song took the day.

First place went to the- and I'm biased in saying this- outstanding March. The Road Down took second place. Sunset Airship and Chemical Torch both took Top 25% positions in third and fourth place respectively.

Other point winners were Kalinging's other two entrants, Dahak's variants on Perfect Forest and Frahhamn's tree. Thanks to the entrants and judges!

(And apologies for the delay- 'Twas a continuing rush to complete Canopy that got me this time.)

Congrats to Kalinging. Very well done graphics!

TM: You mixed up the scores a little, spy's are mine. But never mind, I hear you are under stress at the moment.

Congratulations to Kalinging, Dahak and Frahamn!
))
:)
))((`

But TM: ;_; you falsely show all my votes under bigblue's name - I never gave the sunset airship a 10 ... Could you please fix it, I'll resend my original votes if you like.
BTW, whose votes did you smuggle into my row?
Uh, somebody with a totally different taste +_+

edit: oh I see: it's bigblue's bad taste :D

Great, I'm kind of surprised that the underground metropolis wasn't more popular though, meh.

Corel Draw 7, a rather old program. (if that's what you are asking)

Okay, so unless Corel is noticeably better/worse than Photoshop, in what ways do you USE it to make such outstanding works?
Because really, they're too good.

Some very good entrants in this category. Congratulations to all entrants.
Kalinging, I have a question. Why are most of your graphics brown?

Wow!
Congrats Kalinging! Your style reminds me of something... does "PS" mean anything to you?
Dahak was close, Frahhamn's tree is notable...
Aleksi, maybe we'll comp next time. Did you tell something about your best art being on paper?

Well, yeah. I'm much better at drawing stuff on paper than drawing a crude sketch with Paint and then PhotoShop-filtering it. :)

No, what's that?

Well, the color is probably Morrowind influenced. (Further more, I can't think of anything good or doable with any of the other colour themes ie. red? the only thing that could think of that might be interesting would some kind of battlefield, but that would require wayyyyy too much detail. [might try it though] Blue? - a night scene? of what? A city? [hey there's an idea])

Well, there's alot of different things you can do. But here's an example:

I make a frame of what I want to draw (which is optional) with the pencil tool with a high transparency setting:
IMAGE(http://img41.exs.cx/img41/2372/Frame1.jpg)

and then I just tag on colours from the bottom up with the air brush tool:
IMAGE(http://img41.exs.cx/img41/3804/Colour1.jpg)

IMAGE(http://img41.exs.cx/img41/508/Colour3.jpg)

IMAGE(http://img41.exs.cx/img41/3306/Colour4.jpg)

add more black to emphasize what's important (and to cover up all the boring edges):
IMAGE(http://img41.exs.cx/img41/8694/Colour5.jpg)

and just add the little details at the end with the pen:
IMAGE(http://img41.exs.cx/img41/4003/Colour6.jpg)

So in short, lots of air brushes.
