Two questions: (1) How long will the online store feature the discounts on G4 and A5; and (2) what happened to Galactic Core?

Maybe this is a dumb question (I didn't actually read the license) but why is BoE still for sale if it's open-source?

Until it's no longer the beta store. Don't know how long that will be. Not very.

and (2) what happened to Galactic Core?

We don't support it anymore. And we don't sell what we can't support.

Why shouldn't it be? If people want the new versions of it, they're there. If they want the old, supported version (and don't want to compile a bunch of source code), it is still there too.

Since nobody buys it from us either way, it's kind of moot.

But then what happened to Richard White? Did he die again?

All kidding aside, I think this is a mistake. You also don't support the Exile trilogy but still sell it. Why not do the same with GC?

Edit1: I just noticed something odd Nethergate: Resurrection is $25 while Nethergate classic is $30.

I've heard RW stopped answering mail from Jeff years ago, and stopped cashing his cheques a while after that. Nobody's quite sure why.

He will have cashed these cheques a few years ago, starting last Thursday. :P

The original Nethergate was made with rare 9-bit bytes, which you can't get anymore today.

Nethergate is ony available on CD, so the extra $5 is for that. Nethergate: Resurrection doesn't (although you can still buy it on a CD), so it's a little cheaper.

Or, at least, that was how it was when I ordered the game.
