Maybe this is a dumb question (I didn't actually read the license) but why is BoE still for sale if it's open-source? -------------------- My Myspace, with some of my art The Lyceum - The Headquarters of the Blades designing community The Louvre - The Blades of Avernum graphics database BoE Webring - Self explanatory They Might Be Giants - Four official websites for one of the greatest bands in existence Posts: 2957 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Two questions: (1) How long will the online store feature the discounts on G4 and A5; Until it's no longer the beta store. Don't know how long that will be. Not very. and (2) what happened to Galactic Core? We don't support it anymore. And we don't sell what we can't support. Maybe this is a dumb question (I didn't actually read the license) but why is BoE still for sale if it's open-source? Why shouldn't it be? If people want the new versions of it, they're there. If they want the old, supported version (and don't want to compile a bunch of source code), it is still there too. Since nobody buys it from us either way, it's kind of moot. - Jeff Vogel -------------------- Official Board Admin spidweb@spiderwebsoftware.com Posts: 960 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

quote:But then what happened to Richard White? Did he die again? All kidding aside, I think this is a mistake. You also don't support the Exile trilogy but still sell it. Why not do the same with GC? Edit1: I just noticed something odd Nethergate: Resurrection is $25 while Nethergate classic is $30. The original Nethergate was made with rare 9-bit bytes, which you can't get anymore today. -------------------- Listen carefully because some of your options may have changed. Posts: 3335 | Registered: Thursday, September 4 2003 07:00 |

quote:Nethergate is ony available on CD, so the extra $5 is for that. Nethergate: Resurrection doesn't (although you can still buy it on a CD), so it's a little cheaper. Or, at least, that was how it was when I ordered the game.
