Huh. Geneforge 4 works well with Windows 2000. And I know I've played the other games. What doesn't work well with W2k is the stuff designed for Vista or XP. -------------------- Synergy, et al - "I don't get it." Argon - "I'm at a loss for words..." Oh. I know Windows 98 won't play the newer games, but I didn't know 2000 would. At Kelandon: I am a reader of his works. However: quote: -------------------- Nikki's Nook - a heart on a string that's about to be cut. Posts: 2864 | Registered: Monday, September 8 2003 07:00 |

So anyway, I've looking into both XP and Windows, and my conclusions are as follows: All reviews I read say the same: "if you don't really need Vista, stick with XP." and "Vista SP1 comes with its own problems". Besides, I saw that some software I'd want to run (some payware Flight Simulator aircrafts) don't have Vista patches, so I think I'll keep with XP for now. Seems a lot simpeler... -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Co-designed with Nikki: El Presidente. It upgraded to SP3 smoothly, but reset everything to defaults. So... For a week now I keep finding somnething to tweak back. Later... microphage -------------------- The point of fighting is to win.
