Usually, by the time I got arround to fighting lavos, it wasn't all that difficult. I usually fought him repeatedly though, +games :P The rainbow and the prism specs did rock though, and most of the characters have a decent equipment set that makes the pretty good. The triple techs didn't get used that often though. They're overkill in most situations.
