You know, some mammals lay eggs. This was the cause for the question about sliths, whether they were indeed reptiles or were mammals. I think we concluded that they have some internal systems that more resemble mammals than most lizards, but they are fundamentally reptiles. Nephilim, on the other hand, are clearly mammals, being a mix between humans and cats. Whether they are more human (two nipples) or more cat (eight) is an open question, but I'm inclined to believe that their exterior physiology lends itself to humanoid shapes.
