iGod is henceforth banned from Spiderweb. You may not post iGod logs unless they are somehow suited to the thread, and they do not get threads of their own!

This change of rules is not retroactively applicable.

—Alorael, who would like to save General from the abyss into which Misc. plunged. Bad rhymes are only the first symptom. Endless polls and repetitious, content-free topics are more worrisome.

For some reason the mods have to run in and spoil all our fun. It's just not fair....

It is essential to the survival of Spiderweb!!!

—Alorael, who really just got sick of the logs and decided that if they're going to appear they should be justified by the modicum of extra effort required to make them the slightest bit relevant to some other thread.

I think that was Zephyr.
I'm probably wrong though.

If you think Igod is all our fun....
Anyways, It should be banned from SW. It is pointless, annoying, and not as fun after the first time you try it

I think they got a point. All those, mostly quite useless, iGod conversations are put in useless topics, and have no purpose. I know it's funny, iGod, but all those conversations? I don't find them really interesting, to be honest. And it's much more fun to find out those things by yourself.

Just check the board, and you can see some topics, with little or no reaction on the conversations, or just conversations, without a reaction, a meaning or even some sort of a point. I don't really mind that they've banned it.

Excuse my poor English

I was saying in general, I've never really found any interest in iGod, but many fun topics have gotten the axe. And it's always the mods that do it.

I like iGod topics. They are universally boring and can be summarily ignored without a second look, cutting down the time spent reading drivel.

As there is no extant lack of pointless drivel, I applaud the demise of iGod.

If you really, really want to post your conversation with iGod, do it in Spammer's Heaven on RIFQ.

EDIT: Wow. I just realized this. iGod rules Spammer's Heaven...

About time. It was one thing when there was a single topic focused on strange conversations with iGod, but the pseudo-divine wisdom of an ineffectual box of bolts just won't fly in most topics. Besides, most of these conversations have an ungodly high ratio of junk to jokes.

I freaked out a little when I saw the topic title, particularly when I saw it was a topic by Alo... particularly given the talk of the forums' possible actual demise.

EDIT: Kill the topics! Bring us their heads!!!

I did pretty much the same thing. I looked at that topic before this one. Sorry... :(

Be careful with a word, as you would with a sword,
For it too has the power to kill.
However well placed word, unlike a well placed sword,
Can also have the power to heal.

Use of existing iGod threads is legitimate but will be punished anyway.

Creation of new iGod threads is illegitimate and will be soundly mocked.

—Alorael, who now knows that he is but an instrument of iGod and that it is iGod's will that iGod cease to be a very Old Testament plague upon these forums. Lo &c.

For edification, if not clarification, where do iPod, iCod, and iNod fit into the new schema of prohibited topics?

The siNod has declared them to be heretical.

—Alorael, who isn't sure if syNod would be a better way of stating it or if it's missing the necessary i.

The igod is an inferior product to the ipod. For one thing the storage limits for igod are far too low. I mean igod can hardly string a sentence together much less remember a tune.

Yes, but how many photo threads have Alec started?

Well, I guess I can see your reasoning though, Alo.

Alec starts a photo thread. There is no sudden proliferation of new threads dedicated solely to pictures, or worse, threads dedicated to permutations of the same picture.

—Alorael, who has nothing against iGod. iGod can coexist with Spiderweb in peace. It should just do so in a finite number of threads.

Say, one topic for igod and no more than ten lines of a conversation could be printed. Of course, absolutely no double posting. That might reduce the amount of junk material.

Dikiyoba can't think of a reason to use igod. There are just so many entertaining people on Spiderweb.

Are you suggesting, Alorael, that iGods are not to be multiplied beyond necessity?
