Okay, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it if it is.

But I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble getting onto the Spiderweb Software website? I keep trying and my browser is saying that it can't find it at all.

No, I'm getting the same.

I don't know what this means, but I have the strange feeling I ought to launch PPP4 right about... now. o_o

Edit: Not to worry, spiderwebsoftware.com is up.

Apparently Jeff has let spidweb.com expire - it's an older domain, and I've used it for the past five years or so, but apparently it's been deprecated a long time ago.

The hell? Spidweb.com is far shorter, whereas spiderwebsoftware.com is needlessly verbose and I can't be so bothered to type it. :P

Apparently still annoying.

That's why I've used it for the past 5 years or so. In fact, my copy of Exile 3 still mentions spidweb.com as the official website - that's how I first found it. :P

I just type "sp" and let my browser do the rest. That said, spidweb.com is working fine right now...

In all the years I have visited the site I have never once used Spidweb.com always spiderwebsoftware.com. If that makes me wrong, I don't want to be right.

It was originally spidweb.com, and I think the redirect from spiderwebsoftware is relatively recent.

Eh, they both work. Apparently my favorites link is set to spiderwebsoftware.com, but no matter. On a side note, Jeff has included that A4 for Windows will be out in March.

Does nobody have it bookmarked. Why type when you can click?

Dikiyoba has a link to Spiderweb Software on Dikiyoba's homepage. It's even easier than typing spidweb.com. Incidentally, Dikiyoba didn't even know that spidweb.com even existed until this topic. See, these boards are educational.

It helps that Firefox gives auto-suggestions as soon as you enter a single letter. Since there aren't any websites starting on "i" that I visit more often, I can enter the website with two clicks - as long as it takes to open the bookmarks - and a key.

Although I've also made a bookmark in the toolbar. Now I need only a single click.

And finally, with the newsfeed, I can browse the active threads without even looking at the forum. :)

Safari has a bookmark bar. These forums are a mere command-1 away.

—Alorael, who has experienced no difficulties with spidweb.com. Then again, he often bypasses Spiderweb to get straight to ironycentral.com. Why are the forums tied to Irony Central anyway?

Probably because the forums are not as critical to spidweb as their own website is -- the website does advertising and selling, it brings in money, the forums do very little in economic terms. So, if the need ever arose, ironycentral could be sacrificed for the good of spidweb.

(/me smacks down an awful wretched analogy involving the separating sections of the enterprise D)

But the forums keep people here long enough to decide they want to buy the games. ;)

My bookmarks list is so long that to find the appropriate bookmark on it would probably take a good 30 seconds longer than typing it.

I have a shortcut to "http://www.spidweb.com" on my desktop. I just need a double-click.

And, yup, I am back, mates.

So, what have you been doing?

And did you have time to listen to the music? I think I forgot to write you about your piece...

I think that is to be answered in a private mail and not in a public forum, you know.

Heck, I suppose I feel... umm... fine? Well, I have been studying my... err... I mean, a lot and worked on my merit portfolio.

Anyway, let us take this on a private message, OK?
