Random Observation #1:

That perky Kari Traa of the Norwegian women's mogul ski team makes the one quarter of me that is Norwegian wistful indeed.

A lot less pants than I'm used to seeing on athletes. (Referring to the first image that comes up when you search for Kari Traa on google image search.)

Oh, Aran. Really. That was bad.

And did anyone see the men's downhills this morning? (About 7am EST I think). That was amazing... The last seeded comtestant stole it at the last minute. (Forgive the lack of names. Skiing isn't my sport.)

Kari Traa didn't deserve gold, or even silver. A little judging bias, methinks.

On another note, did anyone else see the Nordic Combined? That 15k was exciting.

If you mean the 30k cross country combined, yes I saw that. The Swedish guy didn't win. Neither did the Czech guy. But it's pretty cool how it all happens right at the end. How fit must these people be? Skiing UPHILL for goodness sake.

As for Kari Tråa, I prefer the Canadian girl who won.

I think this is really wonderful.

Random Observation #3:

American TV was so all in a "we interrupt this broadcast for a live update" huff about poor Michelle Kwan not skating in the Olympics last night, that I never even got to see the Canadian women's mogul skiier make the Gold.

Random Observation #4:

American TV spends a lot of time talking about the Olympics. CBC (Canadian) TV actually shows the Olympics.

I'd have to agree with TM in this one. Although, being the lady I am, I'd say that this thread is just dull and meaningless.

Funny. I was just about to post that I agree with TM, too.
