I was always of the opinion that both were generally good people. Furthermore, why compare them? What's there to be gained of it, when both still have unfulfilled, fundamental goals that need to be addressed? -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

Was Malcom X really a Boston specifically Dorchestor Native. And on top of that, was he really a Drug Dealer in those years? On top of all of this I want you to read one of my quots, it says and I qout, "There is nothing sadder than wasted Talent". It was said bye Robert Dinero's character Lorenzo from The motion pictore A Bronx Tale. That is what I want you to remember, that there is nothing sadder, than wasted talent. That does fit in with The Civil Rights Movement bye the way. and other movements in this country as well. I didn't think you would. Look let's put it this way, people like MLK could have just sat around and said,"Things will never change", and done nothing. But they didn't, they did something about it. Think of what would have happend had Ghaundie not fought for India's seperation of Great Brittian. I know he got killed, but my point is, you have two choices in this world. to either say A, Things will never change and do nothing about it, or fight for a cause. That lesson doesn't just apply to civil rights, but other aspects of life as well. -------------------- "I am Batman". Batman. "I was Escobars guy, I was untouchable". George Jung-Blow. Odds are in their favor. I was also making fun of your poor grammar, and strange spelling of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi's name. He deserves better. Edit- Of course I didn't post until you asked for clarification, and then it seemed like the decent thing to do. My gramma still needs work on. I know that. Forgive my mistakes in grammer. I do well now with most words, I just have trouble with the longer and more complicated words. and some peoples names. -------------------- "I am Batman". Batman. *nod* Ditto to what Dikiyoba says. I rarely correct or make fun of the way anyone else uses language. But names are a little different -- unlike confusing use of regular words, you can't rely on context to correct miscommunication. And Ghaundie is a spectacular deviation from Gandhi, really :) -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

^Speaking of "what is there to gain..." Why compare them? Because they had notably different philosophies, different goals, and different ways of achieving them. If one followed Malcolm X's example, their actions would be significantly different from someone who followed MLK's. What there is to be gained is the knowledge of experience that can be used to address those unfulfilled, fundamental goals. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. Well every movement has a diffrent way of fullfilling a diffrent goal. But what one has to do is to some how in this vortex of methods to find your own method of finding whatever goal you are trying to find yourself in your life, bye being inspired bye leaders of the past. From everyone from Lincoln, The Kennedies, MLK, Malcom X, Ralph Ellison, ect. -------------------- "I am Batman". Batman. "I was Escobars guy, I was untouchable". George Jung-Blow.
