well i was just wandering about if there is some reward to those people with thousands of posts or just the feeling of being "important" in a forum and internet expenses?

It gives them a reason not to hop off a bridge and end it all, unfortunately.

You as well, Djur? I do hope you're not considering such a thing.

The rewards of a high post count are actually very impressive. Once I passed 1000 I had to get a new mailbox just to hold the Frequent Poster Reward goodies that started pouring in. It's a good thing the next incentive level is still a fair way away for me, because I'm already starting to use iPods as furniture shims.

Sir, you are fooling the noobs. Considering we are already suffering from spam overload, this is not a good thing.

Don't lie. You know the only presents you get are flaming bags of Jeff Vogel's brat's feces.

I believe Djur is encouraging us to not post, suffer from plummeting self esteem, and end our own lives.

This is something that I feel obliged to strongly discourage, as spam is only virtual space wasting, whereas corpses can clog rivers, spread diseases, and become an expensive public nuisance.

I am willing to bet good money that double posts account for less than 1% of my post count. What I have is honest, unadulterated spam.

—Alorael, who can at least claim that his spam is, for the most part, inoffensive.

I could say that it's fun being a recognised member of a community, but I'd be lying. When I do spam, which is rare, I always take great care to attempt to not offend anyone. That said; Djur, much love, I missed all five of your nipples.

Well, if you enjoy the psychological ego-inflation of having a high post count it's up to you. You can give yourself an invisible star sticker and a pat on the back, yes, that's a good boy :3 *patpats*

Whatever... hi Feran.

Anyway, I will be quick to point out that even 1% double posts is quite a bit, especaially when it amounts to 96 overall. :P In all my posts, I think I've only accidentally double posted 2 or 3 times.

t mods move 2 rwg har har

----

Only 91% of Alorael's post count comes from double posts. 137% comes from triple, quadruple, quintuple, ect, posts. 952% comes from spam. -1080% comes from informative and interesting posts. And, of course, I'll wait for my above instruction is obeyed before Icshi explains how you can have -1080% of a post.

Cf. Polaris

—Alorael, who can also delete his own posts. If he deletes all informative posts he makes 11.8 times, he can have -1080% of a useful post.

I'm seeing here on these posts, names I haven't seen in a while. Andrea, I remember the member #, but I think the name was different, the same to you Feran.

Andrea is better known as Djur and unprintable strings of characters, and Feran is also known as Feranix (or unprintable strings of characters).

—Alorael, who is also known as an enterprising individual of Asian origin with an uncommonely abundant size, a marked propensity towards perspiration, and an unnatural predilection for comestibles consisting of former bovines.

It has just been vouchsafed to me that Alorael is ine of those members who end their name in a Roman numeral.
He can join the ranks of Feran IX, Djur X and others whose names I forget in my steadfast march into senile decay.
