There's the whole, you know, Non-Disclosure Agreement that beta testers have to sign... no beta tester is allowed to tell much of anything about the game.

He has already told us quite a bit.

[Edit: In only 21 words, you'd think all of them could be right.]

wow, now i have seen the screenshots more carefully (and in full screen :D )and now i realize how geneforgized the game is.
but the game still keep the click to square-move system?or it has the route-geneforge system?i dont like the geneforge moving system because i keep clicking a litlle far from the target when targeting a missile and instead of atacking the damn thing my pets move near the monster!

I agree with Chico. The square based clicking system is helpful when aiming. Its also easy when you are using the arrow keys to move.

Jeff has said that the game will be more like Avernum than Geneforge. And that's been said already too.

Drakey is an admin for many reasons, including having been here forever and a stalwart level-headed member of the community.

Anybody have any idea for the timeframe of the betatesting?

I'd apply, but I'd be scared to be accepted...

October should be very busy for me, so I wouldn't have time.

But maybe November if it's not too late.

The window for applying has already closed, which makes me wonder if they've been selected already. That just depresses me, since I haven't received an e-mail from the company.

I applied too, and though I would like to be accepted it's okay if I'm not. Also, I doubt they have sent the emails out yet.

I see. :(

I do seem to recall reading that they'd only reply to those who got accepted, though. Considering the large amount of people who no doubt applied, that's logical.

If you don't hear from Jeff in the next few days, probably the best thing to do is replay Avernum1,2,3 and wait three months until Avernum 4 is released for the mac. I know it's frusterating, but it's the way beta tests work. Personally, I try to distract myself with other games. Also I think that because of the NDA, the beta-testers won't be revealing any information. No one wants legal action taken against them.
