I also enjoy the photo threads, and though reading what one writes gives more insight into them, I still like seeing their face. It's also interesting to see how similar or different people are from the way I would have thought them to be based on their personalities. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

It's not very easy to find a place where you can simultaneously discuss relationship between thermodinamic and psychological arrows of time and talk about invasion of sanity-eating fluffy turtles. :) As for not knowing what people look like, I had a very weird dream last night: I was talking to two members from these boards in a generic-looking apartment. One of them looked like his picture I saw a few years ago. The other, whose picture I never saw, looked like my acquaintance from college. Scary... That's one argument against picture threads: sometimes it's more fun to leave things up to imagination. I came to procrastinate. I stayed because this makes it easy. Like Stug, I would find some other way to procrastinate if I wasn't here. And I feel it is my civic duty to make sure you know and agree with my position on all issues. Once that happens, my job is done. I mainly come here for something to do and for a laugh generally delivered by TM. But now that he is gone for three months I don't know why I'm here. I suppose it's alright for talking to people and getting a bunch of people into a conversation that you like but your friends don't(eg. Avernum games, Rpgs and many others that have turned up). Just thinking...Perhaps I should leave until the three months is up, because these boards just seem to lack the humor that TM provided. Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |

If you need a TM fix, you're welcome to read Desperance. Kingy - Aren't we good company, too :P I wouldn't leave because Aran, Alec, and TM are gone. There are other people here that I look forward to talking to, but my post rate has gone down… -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Perhaps I sounded a bit dire in my first post in the thread. I'm not considering leaving any time soon. If anything, I might slow down a bit, and spend some more time at Desp. Never fear- no matter my level of activity, the attack ferret army will always be here to protect all! You know, all this talk about photo threads has me thinking of starting another one. It's been long enough since the last one, hasn't it? [ Friday, July 22, 2005 09:32: Message edited by: Stugri-La ] -------------------- Stughalf "Delusion arises from anger. I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. Sadly all I have is tentacles... This is yet another way for me to not forget English. Is it worth it? Maybe not, but I can't be arsed to do anything else. -------------------- Bending, but not in the way you might imagine. Posts: 995 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

It is pleasing to me that you aren't jumping off the wagon Stug. I also enjoy your opinions, and as I noted earlier your steadfast resolve in friendship is admirable. Not sure how I feel about the photo thread, but I suppose as long as Arctic keeps his tentacles hidden it will be okay. *this message sponsored by the leg warmer manufacturing consortium* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Ah, I'll never stick with my empty threat. I was considering but with the new photo thread starting up I think I'll stick around for a while. Just as long as no more of the funny members leave this board might just keep its humor aspect alive. Edit: I should really stop complaining as I never do anything funny on these boards. I guess I was just a little disapointed at the loss of TM. [ Friday, July 22, 2005 22:46: Message edited by: Kingy ] Posts: 776 | Registered: Friday, July 4 2003 07:00 |
