Hope I'm not the only one who caught the reference to Exile I in Game Informer magazine. Since the game was released in 1995, the mention was in the "classic review" section. I still think it is great that some shareware games are getting mentioned in magazines aimed towards the commercial market. There are some nice mentions of excellent gameplay overcoming the UI, but I'll let you read for yourselves: It will be a glorious day indeed if they give mention to some of Spidweb's contemporary games. -------------------- Don't worry, the worst is yet to come! I thought it was about army recruiting. -------------------- "At times discretion should be thrown aside, and with the foolish we should play the fool." - Menander ==== Drakefyre's Demesne - Happy Happy Joy Joy desperance.net - We're Everywhere ==== You can take my Mac when you pry my cold, dead fingers off the mouse! Spidweb's games have been praised (or hated) in PCGamer magazine for years now... But ok. -------------------- The critics agree! Demonslayer is "a five star hit!" raves TIMES Weekly! And good ol' MacAddict. That's a famous screenshot - I see it whenever Exile I is mentioned. I played Exile I first, and I thought it was the best. Then I played Exile II and thought it was a bit better, and when I found Exile III, I regestered it about a week after playing it, and finishing the demo. I'm surprised they didn't feature a newer SpiderWeb game. [ Wednesday, July 20, 2005 03:13: Message edited by: **lianeoT** ] -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta! I suppose that they assumed that E1 was the "base game" for all the others. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Well, I suppose to get the full experience, you should play the games in order, but Jeff stressed that no previous experience from E1 and E2 is needed to play E3, which is true to the most extent. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

 Is that out of a recent print magazine? Maybe it was in a sort of historical context. edit: :D when I read GI plug, I also thought it would be about an update of America's Army. Jeff said that about the Exiles meaning that you wouldn't be completely lost in how to play, because it's so simple. It was a marketing device, that apparently worked well... -------------------- The critics agree! Demonslayer is "a five star hit!" raves TIMES Weekly! "I've never heard such thoughtful comments.
