Umm no he isn't. Refer to the post in "TM banned."
I've already referred it to the proper persons.

Hmm. Tough call, but here's my preliminary split:

11 votes to Alec, probably the single candidate closest to me in policy. He'd do a damn fine job.

And 14 votes to me. I would like to support Thuryl as well, but he doesn't appear to need my help.

I ran just for the hell of it (I haven't even been here for more than a few minutes over the past several weeks), so I hereby announce my intention to withdraw from the election once it begins. I didn't see my name on the list of voters, but I can only assume that all candidates have the right to vote, and all 25 of my votes go to Zeviz, whether he's actually running or not. I wish he were. My real votes, of course, will be somewhat more divided.

EDIT: I completely agree with whoever said that those with custom titles cannot be trusted.

From what I understand, only those who registered in the alloted time on the proper thread are allowed to vote.

I'll go over the thread again and maybe put the votes into a spreadsheet for accuracy.

Looking at the first post again I see that there are only 60 people voting. That's why I was off, I had thought it 62. I will fix.

EDIT

OK, This is what I got.

Vote Count - By Votes / Primary Registration
Updated 1:30 Friday CST
Reporting - 1000; Reporting % = 66.67%

Thuryl - 172 (11.47% total) (19!)
Aran - 104 (6.93% total) (15!)
Stug - 101 (6.73% total) (11!)
Kelandon - 99 (6.60% total) (13!)
Alec - 82 (5.47% total) (10!)
Dolphin - 82 (5.47% total) (13!)
Zeviz - 76 (5.07% total)
Wise Man - 57 (3.80% total)
TM - 44 (2.93% total)
MM - 35 (2.33% total)
JadeWolf - 34 (2.27% total)
Micael - 30 (2% total)
Sarachim - 21 (1.4% total)
Archmage Alex - 12 (.8% total)
AM - 11 (.73% total)
Sir David - 9 (.6% total)
Spring - 8 (.53% total)
Riibu - 7 (.47% total)
FBM - 6 (.4% total)
Nicothodes - 4 (.27% total)
Sushi - 2 (.13% total)
Imban 4444 - 1 (.07% total) (*)
Cairo Jim - 1 (.07% total) (*)
stranger - 1 (.07% total) (*)
fatman - 1 (.07% total) (*)

_____

This reflects all votes made including that of TGM when he registered to vote.

In comparing voters with those who registered there is quite a discrepency. There were a total of 60 voters on the list and an additional three claimed they had also registered in the registration thread but the list was not updated. (probably due to the list maker being forcefully absent) So total votes should be 1575 unless there are those on the list who have decided not to vote. As for the list...

Could someone tell me if these people...

Ash
EMasculine
Micael
HMS Valiant
Thuryl
Morgan
Eagle
Comtemptalbe
Sir David
Unplesantness
Kakakaka

are on this list...

LRTDeM
ef
Lord Bob
wz. arsenic
Stranger
Ominous I'm in us
Backwards impaired.
TM
kuc
Jade Wolf
Odious
Ator
Morgles
Khoth
BtI
Arctic
Drew
Nicothodes
the fatman
Schrodinger
No 2
Canalista
Wiz
Marlenny
Multiple Monikers
Exile Master
Loggy
Kakashi
Zxquez
Ice Drake
Slp006
Meter Maid

I don't know all the various monikers.

Demented Munster, Spring, and RC were not included in the list but claimed they had registered and Spring has already voted.

That's that, so off to bed... I stayed up way too late for this.

PS. So sorry Dolphin, seems I missed a button or two on my earlier calculation. You are not second, but still not too shabby in the runnings.

If anybody wants the Xcel spreadsheet I've made just let me know.

He is otherwise known as Dios or Senlias. Like many other folks, he is here pretty irregularly, and the last time I saw him post was a few weeks ago on Polaris.

As this is merely a poll, and not the mandatory vote by email ballot, I think the level of compliance may not increase.

This does give an idea of which candidates are "viable" and which ones are "sushi," which was the entire point. Perhaps if people started emailing real votes to drakey@voicenet.com[/url] then this may be come once again the main topic of discussion.

This poll could cost Thuryl the victory, through a tortoise-and-hare effect, because it will give everyone the impression that he doesn't really need their votes. So folks who want him to win might vote for others to ensure that those others get the kudos of also being in the runoff.

Fascinating, Captain.

46 votes is quite a margin, though. I don't know if people would change there mind that much.

Anyway, gotta go. Hopefully I've see y'all in a couple days. Maybe.

It would only take two people placing all votes with the closest candidate to Thuryl. ;) We'll see.
