Does anyone know if there is a list of all the members registered at Spiderweb, you know, sorted by member number? Or do I have to make my own by manually requesting information of each member number? ;) -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

There is, and it's located at Polaris. It's termed "The Grand Endeavor." Wow, that's cool! And a long post. :D I figure I'll keep working on mine, though, because it will include # of posts and register date for statistics purposes. I was just making sure that such a list existed. If not, it would be crucial one was made. BtW, I'm up to #165. [ Thursday, October 14, 2004 16:08: Message edited by: burglar ben ] -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Yeah. Hey, can anyone think of a quicker way of doing this that changing the URL in the member information form each time? Well, there are a few extensions for Firefox that allow navigation through numbered URLs. Location Navigator works fine. What's the point, though? First of all, you're going to chew up a decent amount of bandwidth. Second, Polaris has the names down. Third, what's the point of including post counts when they change constantly? Even Polaris' is rather difficult to keep current. Many people change their displayed names frequently, and unless someone monitors for that, the "Grand Endeavour" will become out of date fast. Alec is still listed as Custer Hearts You. -------------------- I've got a pyg in a poke. Posts: 999 | Registered: Friday, June 27 2003 07:00 |

There's something vaguely therapeutic about having your member name listed by your number like that. I feel like I've accomplished something. Posts: 236 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Kelandon: sometimes, no. You'll see that it was last posted to mid-September, and only gets really big contributions around once a month. Eh, it's something to do. I'm may look pretty weird, but it's something to do. Also, post count and register date could be useful, like, if Mariann decided to flush out all the 0-post accounts below member #2000 or some such thing, a list like this would be very helpful. However, yes, it may just be wasting my time. Oh well. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I looked through the list and found ten of my own accounts. I might've missed some, though. EDIT: I found two I missed, making twelve. I also counted up the total posts of all of them; 1,133 posts. And in addition to it being unnecessary because Mariann could easily check things like that, why would the accounts with no posts matter? They take up webspace, as Mariann has said. She's already had to purge the boards twice because of this. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I am member #187. I have always been member #187. I will always be member #187. This was a useless post, like most here. WE ARE REASONABLE PEOPLE. Edit: I have no sig. edit 2: Interesting. I signed up here, and at the official Magic the Gathering forums the same month. (Oct 2001) I have about 8500 posts there, and just over 500 here, in the same amount of time. Ben, that has nothing to do with her pruning. It's the topics that take up space, not the members. Besides, the UBB member search function for admins lets us easily find all accounts with no posts, or no posts in the last year, or no posts on Tuesdays. -------------------- "At times discretion should be thrown aside, and with the foolish we should play the fool." - Menander ==== Drakefyre's Demesne - Happy Happy Joy Joy desperance.net - We're Everywhere ==== You can take my Mac when you pry my cold, dead fingers off the mouse! Fun statistics: The first member to have less posts than his member number is Game pu, member 25, with 21 posts.
