This week marks The Desperance Network's third year of existance. We're celebrating this amazing milestone -- three years of my life, wasted -- with a flurry of articles, old and new.
All of your favorite crap articles from as far back as 2001 will be reposted! A new article by Bob the Impaler is up, and you can look forward to articles by Mr. Smartey Man, Big Poppa Sexy, Alec and more.

Also, we'll probably make the SW boards our gimp. Keep a tight grip on your panties.

I certainly hope so. The last one is getting sort of floppy and stretched out. We need fresh meat -- I mean, fresh-faced new members with a new outlook on the world! Yeah.

Oh yes! Desperance is a very educational and... Entertaining place! I advise all parents to make their children spend at least one hour there each day. That may lead to your child being president or, even better, gay communist who jerks of to pictures of Trotsky!

Or it might turn the poor sod into a zombie.

I still don't see how Djur has avoided being banned from these boards all this time (or at least not completely).

A bit off-topic, but a good point.

I'm glad that, if you feel like attacking someone's character in an unbelievably pedestrian way, you are at least willing to go the extra mile and confirm that your own point is good.

We have reason to believe that Djur sticks around through sleazy backroom dealmaking, threats of physical, emotional, and spiritual violence, and random acts of higher beings.

That and the fact that if we remove Djur, Spiderweb may collapse into a pile of virtual plywood and girders.

—Alorael, who would like to point out that Djur was once banned temporarily. It didn't make much sense at the time and it didn't make any more sense in retrospect, but it happened. The result was, by and large, doubleplusungood.

Congrats, Despers. Your life's already wasted, don't worry about how it's spent. Since when is Sauron a Desper?

(I am going to accompany ben as the other newbie here. Let me just say my thirst for masochism knows no limits)

Congratulations!
Desp. is truly a wonderful place. You guys manage, rather nicely, to mix irreverent humor (which, I must add is actually funny most of the times) with a serious slam on the head of Lady Censorship.
For that, and other reasons better left unsaid, I congratulate you.
(and promise to return, as my gauntlet was never completed and I yearn for pain)

Hurrah! We are not elitists, we may try to start feuds but it is not because we think we are better. It is because you are of equal worth but wrong.

We'd be glad to have you around. It's always good to have a new face around.

Yes, happy birthday, Desp.

-ben, who just may become the third one to adopt Alorael's unique style of ending posts, simply because he likes it. However, he will only use it sparingly (such as now).
