I checked out Something Awful's new Weekend Web (they check out tragic forums, and post the most tragic things they find there), and I don't have words for what ive seen... Oh God Help me. And to make this topic more interesting, do you think its really respectless to hang out people like that? Its damn funny, but... I think it is perfectly okay, yes. People who make a public forum are putting themselves in view of the public, no matter how hard it is to find. Also, these forums provide a nice contrast to the satellite boards of Spiderweb. Well, most of it is kinda tough to read. :P Also, IM and chat is different. I write slang there as well; it's not like it's supposed to be an essay. Forums are usually for sharing ideas on a much bigger scale, and with more people.
