frst i sink u shud wrk on ur grammur :P Second, the Exile series of games are produced by Spiderweb Software, and Jeff Vogel, the president, needs to make money to keep his business alive. If you've played the demos, you know that these games can be addicting and therefore Jeff can get some money out of enthusiastic gamers such as you for his games. Frankly, I'd consider registering them very worth it. Almost a whole page of empty space... you really like tempting fate, don't you? Oh well, fortunately this probably isn't grounds for banning. Canning maybe, if someone's in a bad mood when they see this, but more likely an edit and a warning. Back on topic, if you like 2D games and have a low cash-flow or even negative cash-flow, then look around. There are plenty of older cool games that have now been released to freeware. Take Rogue or ZZT for example. There are plenty out there. Though it is an extreme few that are as addictive as a Spiderweb game. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Oooh, custom title... If you're going after free 2d games, I suggest you try Castle of the Winds and Castle of the Winds II. They were proclaimed as abandonware over a year ago and they are pretty fun to play. I recommend you give them a shot. RC's post...was the longest one I've ever seen... Do I dare quote it? Back on topic... Spiderweb software games will probably never become abandonware. They are incredibly addictive. I'm suprised that I'm not playing Geneforge right now. Instead of becoming abandonware, they'll probably just fade away and become very hard to find...but will still cost money to register. -------------------- *Blue screen error* NONEXISTANT WINDOWS ERROR Windows detects no current errors, so Windows has decided to screw around with the files until one occurs. Congratulations. You've beaten "SPOILER ALERT!" as the worst topic ever. You want 2D games? Go find DOOM or Ultima. Why would you look anywhere else? -------------------- The critics agree! Because of the state of the national health service. And because I have absolutely no idea what exactly Ultima is or where it can be acquired. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |
