Stuck at samuels camp in Avernum 4

Ok, I know I'm asking a lot here, but I've searched and searched in Camp Samuels, but I can't find the smugglers tunnel. Is it actually in the camp? Or somewhere around it? I can't get past the barrier in the testing room yet is that where it is??? I'm trying to clear the demon out of the tower area so I can get the dispel barrier spell...do I need this??

getting past almaria in Avernum 4

How do I get past Almaria to get to the castle? Is there a secret way or is there some quest I have to finish first? I'm only level 13 right now, so killing shades is not an option. Heck I haven't even been able to kill that mage hrinks yet....

Ok thanks, thats why I'm stuck, tool use is only 5 right now...maybe when I kill hrinkis I can level up..running out of monsters and such..if I had the money to register I would...I love these games :)

One of the quests off the job board at fort monastery is to kill someone named harko(sp) in the caves to the south...again... i can't seem to find the caves, do i need to be registered to complete this quest???
