I doubt sometimes that my ideas for a game could fit into an Avernum/Geneforge system, as clever as they are. I'm looking into becoming some sort of creative director for video games once I get out of high school, so this might be useful to explore.

I've been spending the holidays in London, England, going to movies at Picadilly Circus, exploring downtown by the tube... every time I walk around tall buildings, I always wish I had the power to jump to the top of them in a single bound. To me, self-propelled flight is a wonderful thing to implement into games, and the idea that you could just catapult yourself into the air from a ground level sprawling with human beings makes me smile.

I wouldn't want to build a game around that concept alone, though, but it would be something I'd want to implement. Perhaps the idea of a brooding modern city filled with tall buildings and supernatural phenomena has been turned a bit cliche by other genres, but I still like the concept.

I also like working with characters. It's why I like roleplaying so much, getting into character and working with other people's ideas to give my own idea outside experience and whatnot. I'd want to make a story revolving around a strong cast, not just one with no dialogue outside the text conversations with NPCs.

At the moment, though, I'm still thinking up concepts more than actual storylines and games. Any of you have any ideas you'd like to contribute?

It transcended spam, went beyond it with newfound creative intent. Don't believe what they say about it being a "pointless" thread - there was a point. You just failed to percieve it. It was art near beyond imagination, it was.

I should know, I glanced at it a couple or so times. :P

Ahh, looks like I had completely forgotten that there was an opening stone in my bloody inventory. >_> THought it was a special item. Had to get into the library.

Thought I'd be a Good Forum Poster and dig up threads instead of making yet another one. I appear to be having the same problem in the Experiment Halls, the stairs leading to the Control Room is barred by a bronze door, of which I'm missing the key. (Not the silver key, used to unlock the Student's Quarters, I hope?)

It's not in the VoDT FAQ - it seems to assume that you have the key already. And the fact that I've completed this scenario once before leads me to believe that there's something that I@m missing.

I'm planning to buy BoA, so I'll check out the walkthrough, but I'm wondering if someone could give me a hint before-hand on how to get past this door?

(For anyone who remembers, for all intents and purposes, this is EatAChinchilla. For some reason, the forum won't let me log back in as the same user. Ah well. Anyhow.)

I'm one of the few who have just begun playing BoA. I haven't even registered yet, though I hope to, sometime Soonish.

So yes. I'll be playing for a while. I have a few ideas of my own, though like others, I'm not yet ready to code my own scenarios, etc.
