Hi,

I had a lot of fun with Geneforge 2 so far but now it's getting a little bit frustrating. I've got a lvl 32 shaper character and almost all areas in the east, west and north are green on my map. I've joined Zachary and already completed his first mission over at the Magus Complex. However I can't get to the southwestern part of the map, where Rising and the Radiant College is located. I've tried to get southwest by using the route via mountain base. However the entrance is blocked if you enter mountain base from the north. Then I've tried to cross the Experimental valley near Drypeak to move on to Rising and the Radiant College. However the way is blocked by traps which are spraying acid on you and my character is constantly killed. I've got a mechanic skill of 6 but I can't destroy all traps because my skill is not high enough. Does anybody have an idea? Are there other ways to Rising? Thanks in advance for answering my question

Hi,

I've explored an northern area called "Western pass" and ventured to "Mountain base". Unfortunately there's a gate right at the beginning blocking the passage to the southern regions. Does anybody have an idea how I can open that gate? I want to travel south. Thanks in advance for answering my question.

hi,

thanks a lot for your answers! I'm going to buy the full version. However I've got one final question: I've read on a website that if you're playing a shaper and if you spent too much points on missle weapons instead on melee weapons, you won't be able to beat the game without using cheats because it's geeting too hard and missle weapons are in the middle of the game worthless. I'm level 13 right now and I've spent almost all of my points on intelligence, endurance, magic and especially shaping skills. I spent two points on missle weapons because I'm using a venomous baton as weapon. I've got a zero on melee weapon. Is this a problem? Will I be able to beat the game?

Hi,

I've completed the demo-version of Geneforge 2. It has been a lot of fun so far and I think I'm going to buy the full version. However I've got a question about the creatures which you can create.

Is it better to keep the creatures alive throughout the whole game (because they're collecting XPs)? My creatures died a lot and I created new ones. I realized very late in the demo version that my creatures can actually collect XPs and gain levels. Should I keep them or can I create new creatures (stronger ones) in the middle of the game (e.g. I bought the clawbug when I completed almost all areas)?

Thanks in advance for answering my questions!
