Happy birthday, in Canada you can go to bars legally now, so in honor I placed the cake where you might find it. -------------------- "Dikiyoba ... is demon ... drives people mad and ... do all sorts of strange things." Originally by Nioca: quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's the one where you are driving right behind the 1st place car, but as you reach the finish line, you whip out from behind them steal first. What's that called again? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cheating. Dikiyoba. Uh no, it's called drafting and is a perfectly legitimate technique of flying under the radar. Cheating is when you bump so that the previous spam master loses traction and ends up falling behind in the post count. Although, some may argue this is a legitimate form of competition as well. -------------------- "Dikiyoba ... is demon ... drives people mad and ... do all sorts of strange things." There are topics which are entirely spam filled but then there are also those that subtly (and not so at times) inject spam into properly righteous topics. I think the closest that the bot could do is to model the number of spam topics, with variables based on the percentage of spam produced by various individuals, at various rates of posting, what topics have received heavy posting (general vs. game topics, if general topics included a heavy proportion of spammy topics) proprtion of new vs. experienced postings (newbies tend to post more game questions) current world events, length of an individual topic, etc. However, being the devious webberians we are, SOMEONE (or more than one)(you know who I speak of) would delight in messing with this model, i.e. hiding spam in legitimate postings or other nefarious behaviour. So, it is doomed to failure. I was commenting on the sentence structure not the intent. to quote "I've just...", or was that intentional, as in support of the mildly annoying aspect to your rule. If so, then well done. If not, state that it was so and we will all believe you (yeah, right). ;) -------------------- "Dikiyoba ... is demon ... drives people mad and ... do all sorts of strange things." Harper tends to a more "American" view of politics and economy. On that basis, there is some improvement. Meh, it improved under Mulroney, declined under various liberal regimes that followed and improved with Harper. -------------------- "Dikiyoba ... is demon ... drives people mad and ... do all sorts of strange things."
