I'm a fairly green newbie in A3 (registered), but have acquired a collection of potions.

Healing and Curing are pretty self-explanatory, but when should my party use e.g. Strength and Invulnerability potions? In combat? Just before? How long do they last?

Interesting. I'm an A3 newbie, who decides about morality, depending on whether there's anything worth pinching!i.e. amoral.

This slaughter thing raises a question for me: I thought if you attacked, e.g. guards, the whole place turned out against you and you couldn't hope to win. Is that not so? (Suppose I should save a game and try it. :D )
