NWN had so much potential, and I was really excited when it came out. Then I got it home, fired it up, and cryed like a baby. It was essentially Diablo 3d. I can see why some people would enjoy it, but, as a fan of the D&D roleplaying games, it came as a bit of a slap in the face.

BoA on the other hand, reminds me of why I started playing PC games all those years ago. Its not flashy, and its not groundbreaking, but what it does, it does very well.

I seem to recall hearing, a few years ago, that Spiderweb buys it's graphics from another company or individual. But it doesn't buy the sole rights to those graphics, just permission to use them in a game or games, possibly. I've seen a handful of other shareware or low-budget games with the same graphics over the years.

Of course, I could be wrong. I'd like to hear the details about it from Jeff, if he happens to drop in.

To keep the idol, you need to drink from the pool, then walk out the secret door behind the totems in the lower right area of the map.
