Hi, im fairly new to Nethergate, but love the game.

when I goto speak to cartunmnus I 'accidently' picked up a nice spear and some shields, that didnt belong to me.

It said my crime was seen... but nothing happened, havnt been arrested or expelled or anything :-) will there be some consequence for stealing ?

Thanks.

John.

As far as I remember each town has a "tolerance" so the game counts the number of crimes you commit, and it if exceeds the tolerance then the entire town goes hostile and everyone starts attacking you.

Edit: you find out what the tolerance level is, the hard way.

+1 for stealing, +3 for killing.
At least, that was how it was in BoA.

Certain towns have Insta-kill nodes if you commit too many crimes. Nethergate village is one of them.

In real life, crime does pay. Then you pay more. :P
