Is there any way to up the difficult as in the avernum series? I'm looking to play an exile 2 game through on torment, but I can't find out how to make it more difficult... Posts: 28 | Registered: Thursday, February 13 2003 08:00 |

I'm pretty sure the "difficulty setting" didn't come in until after the ET. A number of folks around here can suggest ways that you can limit yourself in order to make your game harder, though. :P -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Well, I'm pretty sure that passing it with a one man party would be posible, assuming you go a poison fighter with priest spells, buying a lot of the skills from the venders around southern exile that provide them. I'm just looking more for a 6 party challenge ^_^ That's unfortunate though. Posts: 28 | Registered: Thursday, February 13 2003 08:00 |

Oh, please. Singletons are so passe. Some people even find them easier. :P Try to do it without magic entirely. Or without spending any money on anything ever. Or... well, you get the idea. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Smoo: Get ready to face the walls! quote:The Exile games (or at least BoE; not sure about the others, but probably E3 as well) do have a somewhat simplistic difficulty system, in that you can select the "Make game easier" option in Preferences to halve the HP of all monsters. As for making things harder... well, try to win with a party consisting entirely of archers. Once you get your first bow or crossbow, never use any other weapon or spell. I'll try with the full archer team. One question though: Allowed to use poison? Posts: 28 | Registered: Thursday, February 13 2003 08:00 |

Hmm... sure, why not. Alchemy too, if you want. It'll be fun to see if you can make anything useful out of Exile's 3 most canonically useless skills. :P -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Interesting indeed, Where is first aid when I need it? ^_^ Oh, for good measure though, I'll have a person with level 1 priest spells and 50SP to cast ritual when needed :) Posts: 28 | Registered: Thursday, February 13 2003 08:00 |
