I replayed the Rebel ending, and I noticed that the Unbound a little... smaller than I expected (no joke). Check out the picture with the lizard creature holding the human over its head. It looks way too small to be either Unbound or Drakon. I find it hard to believe that those creatures are terrorizing Terrestia. They are drawn well, but perhaps they should have been bigger! -------------------- VIVE LA TAKERS! VIVE LA REBELLION! VIVE LA GHALDRING! Posts: 522 | Registered: Friday, November 15 2002 08:00 |

Would you believe that the thing the Unbound is shoulder pressing is actually a War Trall? Edit: I'm no great shakes at Spanish, but shouldn't it be "vive los Takers" and "viva Ghaldring"? I do not think that is an unbound ,and the thing it is holding is a shaper soldier or war trall...Just a picture of how the war is going. -------------------- R.R Posts: 179 | Registered: Friday, February 23 2007 08:00 |

Saying that an average human is about 6 feet tall, it is about 2.5-3 times the size of what it's holding. So that is about 15-18 feet. Drakons are 12 feet so I think it is an Unbound. -------------------- "640K ought to be enough for anybody." -- Bill Gates, 1981 The wheel is turning but the hamster is dead. Ok. It's just a little surprising, as I always visualized Drakons to be much bigger. From the way Jeff described Drayks (what was it... 10 tonnes of muscle?), I always thought that they were elephant size, and that Drakons were even larger. I guess I'm suffering from the "Drakons are Dragons" Fallacy. :P -------------------- VIVE LA TAKERS! VIVE LA REBELLION! VIVE LA GHALDRING! Posts: 522 | Registered: Friday, November 15 2002 08:00 |

I'm pretty sure a Drayk was described at one point as being 30 feet long in G1, but that seems to have been retconned out since then. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Syros is twenty feet long in G1. That might be what you were thinking of. Dikiyoba. Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

SoT: quote:Oops, I just realized I made rather silly translation error! 'Viva' is Spanish. I was actually aiming for a French translation. So Viva should = Vive. I'll fix it... -------------------- VIVE LA TAKERS! VIVE LA REBELLION! VIVE LA GHALDRING! Posts: 522 | Registered: Friday, November 15 2002 08:00 |

All drayks would have different sizes...not all of them are the same. Any Drayk or Drakon with a name would probably be bigger than other ones... I think a normal drayk would be at least 10-15 feet long,In some text,it reads that they are not very large, but very powerful, and drakons came from Drayks...you know everytime a Drayk or Drakon shapes again it overdoes it...so i think they'd be 20+ feet. -------------------- R.R Posts: 179 | Registered: Friday, February 23 2007 08:00 |

I know no French at all, but I'm pretty sure you need to conjugate differently and use a plural article for Takers. Vivent las Takers? —Alorael, who realizes this is very tangential. He's not sorry. Language is important. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

quote:"Les Takers", I believe. If you wanted to be even more of a wanker about it, you could also translate "Takers" into French. "Les Preneurs"? Also, I think it's just "Ghaldring", not "la Ghaldring". -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

I took that one to be a humorous twist on "long live the monarch" because Ghaldring is so all-powerful and such that he's like a title. Actually, Monarch is the one who's like a title, or at least like a monarch. —Alorael, who acknowledges that he should know enough French to realize that "las" isn't one of its articles. Suya culpa.
