I am stuck in my room after the meeting with Salassar and Ghaldring, and after I was "lead back" to rest. No one is coming to get me out. What am I missing?

You need to find a bed and rest in it... the southwestern part of the room there are a few cots for you to lie down in.

This leads to a scripted event.

This is the first of several times where you have to move around to a certain spot to get a dialog option to continue in Quessa-Uss. The rest have you approaching the door to the meeting area.

Also notice that at different points you may be directed to stand by different doors. There are two doors from guest chambers to the debate hall, and first you stand by one, later you stand by another at the north end of a passage leading to guest chambers other than your own.
