Press F3. Reload by pressing F4. One of the tips when loading the game or a new area states this, and I'm pretty sure it's in the documentation, too. EDIT: ARGH!!! Why does this keep happening? And a full 3 minutes off... Hit F3 to save the game without going through all the extra save dialogs, and hit F4 to load that game. Really, it's not too useful unless you're in a huge rush. Actually, I find myself doing it compulsively. Usually before turning corners. -------------------- 5.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0... Posts: 508 | Registered: Thursday, May 29 2003 07:00 |

It's extremely useful. And fast. Much more than having to press command+s, reaching for the mouse to select the slot and then pressing enter/return twice. Use quicksave for battles and unexplored ground. Use the normal saves when you're quitting or before big events (like going down a hole). Posts: 22 | Registered: Sunday, June 5 2005 07:00 |

With the massive size of the save files, I want to have as few as possible, so I've taught myself to hit Command-S, click, enter, enter rather rapidly every time I'm about to round a corner. It's annoying, but so is everything about the game's interface. I've also noticed that if you save from the quit dialog, the game doesn't warn you about overwriting an existing file, which is pretty trivial, but odd. -------------------- Überraschung des Dosenöffners! I despise the GF-ized saving system. But eh. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens.
