Downloaded the demo of Avernum 5. I get the above message when I try to start it up and the sounds do not play. I have an intel mac.

Really a downer since I just downloaded it so I could hear the intro music quickly before going to school.

Anyway, you can disreguard, it was just a problem with my new computer, which still sucks but at least your off the hook.

Make sure you're not playing any other sound effects via Media Player, another game, etc. before starting it. Also, make sure your sound card initialized properly.
