This happens with all the Avernum games i own, namely everyone but Exiles of Avernum, which i will correct when it comes out ;) When i go to save the game, by clicking the disk icon on the lower toolbar, then clicking "Save Game" on the popup menu, sometimes it doesnt work Oh the confirmation message comes up "Game Saved" But it usually isnt true. I could go off to dinner, come back to load my game and i just lost 40 minutes of work. Does this happen with other people, or is it some Computer/Game issue that just i have Posts: 38 | Registered: Thursday, March 4 2004 08:00 |

This is a fairly common problem, and it's happened to me many times. What happens is in your saved games folder, some of your saved games lose their extension .sav. Go find them in your saved game folder and add this extension manually. This should "restore" your saved game to what it was previously. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... Another time that happens to me is if I accidentally click on "Load a Saved Game" when I meant to click on "Save Game". Even if I just click cancel, saving won't work until I go back to the last time I saved. -------------------- Ex-member-#2475. Post count = 406 + whatever it says below. the best preventative measure is to memorize the shortcuts, like ctrl+s for Save and ctrl+o for load. -------------------- Polaris - owns you. Undead Theories - double U slash E Posts: 3323 | Registered: Thursday, April 25 2002 07:00 |
