I'm curious. There are 4 serviles to the north in the Ambush Bridge map. Only one (Crim) will talk to you. Is there anything to do here? They seem to be afraid of you but they also seem to not be rogue. Is there any way to get them to safety or make them happy or is there a quest in there at all? Ambush Bridge was probably the hardest area for me to clear. If it's the same shade I'm thinking of, I had to clear out most of Greenwood before I could kill him. (and do a slap and dash at the other shades so I had time to heal myself and my group.) I try to be "kind" when I can and those serviles were no exception. I had them wait until I had cleared that area before I sent them on their way. Posts: 25 | Registered: Thursday, June 9 2005 07:00 |

So did I; for the sake of kindness, and because you gain experience for each one that survives. I always escort Serviles to the edge of the area, and if I clear out the rogues first there is a better chance of them surviving. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

hmmm... i guess i caused some confusion as I got answers for 2 different quests, but neither are talking about the serviles I'm referring to. EDIT: I did find and kill the shade you mention from the FAQ, but I already found and killed the rogue serviles and reported that back to Celeste -- should I have killed these as well? Are they alternates I could kill? To NanaBanana and Dolphin, I'm talking about Ambush Bridge on Dhonal's Island. The area right below Spharon's Lands. Above the bridge the area is named for there are 4 serviles. Three of them just point to the fourth one b/c they are too scared to talk. The 4th servile goes by the name of Crim. My options: -where are you from? who is your master? ----they're lost -you should travel somewhere safe. ----crim looks confused. -come with me ----they're terrified and you suspect one of the things which terrify them is you. -"i suspect you are rogues" ----"we are not shaper. But we...." Crim trembles. "Do what you must." -I'm going now. ---they tremble with relief. it seems like there is something i'm supposed to do, but I can't figure it out. fyi, i'm playing as a loyalist, i dunno if that matters. I'm pretty sure that more options are open after the bridge is cleared. -------------------- "At times discretion should be thrown aside, and with the foolish we should play the fool." - Menander ==== Drakefyre's Demesne - Happy Happy Joy Joy Encyclopedia Ermariana - Trapped in the Closet ==== You can take my Mac when you pry my cold, dead fingers off the mouse! Do you have the quest from Fort Wilton to bring them back? If you were a rebel, you could tell them to join with the rebels. 1. These are the serviles for the Fort Wilton servile master's quest. If you have this quest, mention his name. If you don't these serviles are useless to you. (I think you can get this quest only if you express pro-rebel opinions.) 2. You don't get any extra conversation options from clearing the bridge. Even if you tell them to join rebels, the serviles exit to the east. 3. These are not the serviles for Celeste's quest. Killing these serviles will give you no benefit. -------------------- Be careful with a word, as you would with a sword, For it too has the power to kill. The Rebels from Celeste's quest can be found just outside of the south enterance to the Purification Plant. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days."
