The game freezes and I have to force quit when I get to the area down the slope in the cave after having defeated the first peril in the cave, the spirits.

I haven't experienced this... I don't know what could be going wrong. You say this occurs when you go down the slope to the 2nd floor?

I have just defeated the spirits, the first battle in the cave per se, and I go through a wall, down a slight slope and into a room, and then the game freezes. I could e-mail you the save file if you give me the e-mail address.

I'm running Mac 9.2.
