I wanted to kill him , but i was afraid that i would just die. At Lord Maynard's palace, I told him about the fake barrier thing, and he told me to do the spell on the crystal. I did, twice, and i then i went back to the castle to kill vahkos but i cant find him. What am I supposed to do? At the SW corner you should find an exit with some barriers. If you smashed the crystal like the lord told you, there should be an opening. Yup. If you don't do the crystal thing right you will have a HUGE fight in your hands. If you try to smash the crystal like he asked, it teleports to a more secure location before you can destroy it. So you have to fight through Maynard's men (including the lord himself) to reach the crystal. Then when you destroy it, Vahkhos teleports you to safety. However to kill Vahkhos, one must simpily perform the ritual that Maynard taught you, then return to the basement of his castle, where the barriers are open. If you do not want to get on Maynard's bad side, obey his orders and don't tell any one about his dealings with the vampire. Vahkohs just says he will kill them for being so wimpy. I never actually returned to them to deliver that message though...
