It's literally been years since I've done any customization of any Spiderweb game graphics, but with the on coming Blades of Avernum game (Which I can hardly wait for, but I'm still very disapointed in some of the many things Jeff is leaving out.) and an increase of boredom introduced to me by the defeat of all the Avernum games, Geneforge, and so forth, I've decided to get back into the art. I used to primarily be a graphics editor, with my crowning achievement being the edit of the draconian once featured on Tim Farland's page (if any of you are oldskool enough to remember. I'd link to it from here, but the site is long dead [Spiderweb still has it up on its links page, but... they really ought to update that o.O])...anyways, I'm very rusty, and Avernum Graphics are a whole lot different than exile graphics, but I'll get back to where I was with practice. First off, my attempt were rather... crude and unsuccessful

Doomguard attempt

That was an attempt at a full custom. Never my forte`, but editing was always my realm.

Dryad edit

I was mroe satisfied with this (as you can tell I've been going for an exile styled take on already done monsters). I have been working hard on an avernum take of the draconian, and it should be done sometime soon.

BTW: If these links don't work initially, its because Tripod is idiotic. Copy and paste the original address in a new window to see the graphic.

Hm, I'm not having much luck accessing them- I get a "remote image" link instead. Could you try again?

I have all of Tim's graphics at http://www.geocities.com/boe_drakefyre/boemonsters

What name did you go by then?

As stated above -- copy the original address linked. When accessed, tripod instantly changes the address accessed to their #$%@ing logo. Simply past the original address instead and it ought to work. At least, this is the remedy for a PC. I don't run a Mac, and I know little about that OS, but that's how I get around servers who whine at people posting even from their own account on message boards simply because they just -have- to have a fricking advertisement.

As mentioned in my previous post, my greatest graphical edit was the Draconian. You'll find it under Shawn Lonergan. I also had a handful of graphics at Rel'Han's (Nathan Hamilton's) former Graphics Compendium under the name Deah-Khan.

Nice graphics. They are blurry though in the .JPG format... Try .GIF for better results...

I actually think the doomguard is alot better. It makes a good alternate doomguard. The dryad is okay, but I prefer the Doomguard. Anyway, the more graphics, the merrier.

Theres something that may be a problem with the doomguard. A3 (and almost certainly BoA) will cut off his feet. Anything below a v shaped line (where the terrain tile ends), is ignored by the engine. You could probably solve by shrinking the image a bit.
Other than that, its pretty good (I havnt seen the dryad yet)
