After freeing the Dragon to get past the Platebug Queen, I can't find the Dragon in the levels below again. Is this intention or does he/she (can't remember ;) )hide somewhere? If so, where exactly?

I killed the queen. *then* freed the dragon. Hes gone. Don't try to find him. Haha.

If you were listening to the dialogue, Pythrax explicitly stated that her goal was merely to escape the school. After breaking down the barrier for you as a reward, that's probably exactly what she did.
