Guys, I have this problem, which I can't seem to isolate: EDIT : I FOUND THE PROBLEM AFTER ALL, BY PURE LUCK, WHEN I STARTED TO RE-WRITE IT [ Saturday, May 07, 2005 06:12: Message edited by: Archmagi Micael ] -------------------- "You dare Trifle with Avernum?" ~ Erika the Archmage -------------------- My Scenarios: Undead Valley : A small Undead problem, what could possibly go wrong? -------------------- Richard Black - PROOF of his existance (the Infernal one's website). -------------------- MY FORUM! For the last time, it's spelled Rentar-Ihrno. I-H-R-N-O, not I-H-N-R-O. Anyway, your first problem is that there's no begintalkscript; and variables; lines at the start of the script. Sorry, I must have missed out the first couple of lines when posting the script. No, that's not the problem. (unfortunately) EDIT: I've changed her name to your spelling. Also, Using _ for quotes Does Not Work in the question part of dialogue. It just shows up as _, rather than as ". And as a general rule of thumb, whenever a dialogue response involves action, surround the words in parentheses. For instance, the question would be (Ask her about the tower). -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

quote:It works in the text1, text2, etc. parts, but not in the question part. (Hence the "question part of the dialogue" bit.) -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

quote:Odd. I haven't seen any problems with that. ANd I've talked to people. I even double-checked after you posted this. It works fine. -------------------- "You dare Trifle with Avernum?" ~ Erika the Archmage -------------------- My Scenarios: Undead Valley : A small Undead problem, what could possibly go wrong? -------------------- Richard Black - PROOF of his existance (the Infernal one's website). -------------------- MY FORUM! Maybe this is a mac/win problem. We don't know if Slacks uses windows, but I know Kel and TM don't, and I'm not sure about Archmagi Micael. I don't see the underscores when I play CV, and I use windows. -------------------- ~Note : The professional newbie's advice should not be taken seriously, or at all.~ LINKAGE Posts: 364 | Registered: Saturday, January 17 2004 08:00 |

If nothing else, I go by the fact that Jeff never uses quotes in his questions in the pre-packaged scenarios. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens.
