Hey everyone I've just spent the last few hours plugging away desperately at my keyboard writing pulitzer prize winning dialogue for my scenario in the hope that no one will notice the lack of scripting, and detail, and terrain, and towns, and a lot of other important stuff. However It seems that with every line of dialogue I write I get more and more fed up with typing /pasting /organising filler like "state = -1; personality = 7;" So my question is can anyone recommend a good mac dialogue editor of some kind that could help in saving time with minor things of that nature. Any recommendations would be appreciated [ Saturday, January 15, 2005 19:49: Message edited by: Poit ] -------------------- I assume my reputation for arrogant presumption precedes me Posts: 107 | Registered: Thursday, December 9 2004 08:00 |

Any standard word processor should have a copy/paste feature. I suggest using it. -------------------- Your flower power is no match for my glower power! Posts: 3726 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

Which is exactly what myself and anyone else with half a brain has been doing. Now in case you didn't realise, I was asking if any other way existed (which I doubt but thought it was worth asking) [ Friday, January 07, 2005 21:46: Message edited by: Poit ] -------------------- I assume my reputation for arrogant presumption precedes me Posts: 107 | Registered: Thursday, December 9 2004 08:00 |

I don't know if Arenax is still around and still intends to port his dialogue editor to Mac, but even if so, you're stuck with copy and paste for the time being. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Sorry about the lateness, but I've been away so... Have you tried using macros? Instead of repeatedly coping and pasting, you could set up a macro to run when you pressed a key combination, such as Shift+F9, that could write all of the filler for you. Of course, macros can be nasty, and so you really should watch what you are doing with them. I've lost many hours of work by trying to save 5 minutes and using a macro, but it could work. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? That's an interesting idea although I don't really have much (read any) experience with macros. I'll check it out but for the time being I think i'll just play round with text wrangler and that other app mentioned in the scenario workshop. -------------------- I assume my reputation for arrogant presumption precedes me Posts: 107 | Registered: Thursday, December 9 2004 08:00 |
