This would seem to be a good idea due to the variety of BoA Graphics at the moment. I want to know other peoples views on this idea. -------------------- "Omnipresent, but always late" Posts: 220 | Registered: Tuesday, July 8 2003 07:00 |

I'd wait til the game was released, and we had a little more variety out there. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Yea but I still think we should wait on more. If my memory serves me correctly, there were *tons* of graphics submitted to most contests. But I don't mean to deter you. If you'd like to sponser (ie. DO) it yourself, go ahead. I'll even submit my own. I just think you'd get the best turnout a little later. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Olympia, as far as I know, has held all competitions up to date, including the graphics competitions (I even entered in one of them... and am annoyed they took down the results page of it so quickly, while maintaining results for other competitions...) Go for it. Also, though Olympia was by the most famous (and considered most 'official'), there were a few other contests as well. Obviously much smaller, but that's beyond the point... ... ...Actually I forgot the point, but there is one. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Well, I'll have to get some other people involved as well, so give me a couple of days to sort some things out. -------------------- "Omnipresent, but always late" Posts: 220 | Registered: Tuesday, July 8 2003 07:00 |

I might do some terrains. However, expect them to be really crappy. -------------------- Encyclopaedia • Archives • Members • RSS [Topic / Forum] • Blog • Polaris • NaNoWriMo Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. Terrains? Oh. The original avernum doesn't have a terrain graphix file or files. Or at least I haven't found any. I haven't even got the Avernum 2 or 3 demos. -------------------- "Oh, North Wind, why frighten others? In Nature's family all are brothers. Windows users only get the terrain bitmap files in Avernum 3. I don't know about Macs, but there are no bmp files in Averum1/2 for Windows. I think it was just the terrains, and the others are there all right, but I'm not sure. If you use Windows, just get Avernum 3 (you only need the demo), install it, and open the Data folder. The bmp files are numbered, not named, but the terrains start - I think - at 7000. 700, coming right before then, sorting by names, is the cool intro picture. -------------------- Encyclopaedia • Archives • Members • RSS [Topic / Forum] • Blog • Polaris • NaNoWriMo Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. A scripting contest would be good also. It will be interesting to see what the beta testers come up with. Maybe even the best can be included in the final release. Posts: 141 | Registered: Saturday, April 20 2002 07:00 |
