Will we see the updated VoDT or Za-Khazi Run? This might have been asked a thousand times already, but I'm a new resident here. -------------------- Though we may fall, others will rise. Yep! I wonder what the fourth will be... Bandit Busywork anybody? (read: joke) I hope it's something unique. The original 3 seem pretty unique to me, as in plots that weren't touched before. But that's me... -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

.... I was referring to any game before then. As in a quick journey across dangerous lands to save a fort from certain destruction? That was original. Let me know when you find a game with a similar plot. THAT is what I was talking about. Please don't take me for a fool. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! I'm not, sorry. I'm just quick to laugh about a text in which I think I found a logical error. It's happened several times here that people will then think I'm making fun of them (Afaik, someone even put me on their ignore list). Far from it; I'll usually make the same jokes when I say something wrong. So it's nothing personal. Oh, and I thought you were referring to Spiderweb (ie. BoE) games before them, that's why I made the mistake. I didn't know you meant other RPGs. BTW, the VoDT story seems, to me, not totally original. Not the exact same plot is used, but there are some RPGs (not just fantasy), where someone made a real mess of things, and the authorities cover it up. Have you ever played 'Albion' by Bluebyte? (that's not an ad btw). AMR (a mild rebellion), where you take one of two sides, is used fairly often. The only really original scenario was Zakhazi Run, with a time limit for delivering something. Still, most people agree that out of the three, this one sucked badly. ;) (Note it's based on word of mouth, I never got round to playing it myself) :P -------------------- Encyclopaedia • Archives • Members • RSS [Topic / Forum] • Blog • Polaris • NaNoWriMo Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. Yea you're right. VoDT wasn't that original I guess. And neither was ASR wasn't that much either. AND it's a shame that people didn't like Za-Khazi Run, because I loved it. For once I actually felt I did something useful. And no, I've never played Albion. Never heard of it either. I'm going to look for it at bluebyte.com. If that's not the correct site, post a real one, I wanna try it out. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Re: Albion...you can download the game at The Underdogs . It seems as if it is free for the taking as abandon ware. The manual is also available for download as well as the solution. This site has thousands of games. [ Monday, July 07, 2003 05:03: Message edited by: Flavius ] Posts: 110 | Registered: Thursday, June 19 2003 07:00 |

Hey, is that the full version? Cool, didn't know they gave it out already. But I can understand it, it's rather old. I think I found it as a demo on a CD of Settlers II (old strategy game), and I think that was almost five years ago. ;) The 3D graphics suck badly, but in other places, where there are 2D graphics, the graphics are better than those of Exile! :P Though not as good as Avernum. -------------------- Encyclopaedia • Archives • Members • RSS [Topic / Forum] • Blog • Polaris • NaNoWriMo Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. It is a cd-rip, but, yes, the full game. Many of their games are cd rips. So you miss some of the music or movies, big deal. I save lots of cash by checking them out first. If I like the game, then I hit e-bay or half.com to find a used copy. Posts: 110 | Registered: Thursday, June 19 2003 07:00 |

Hey, the download doesn't work! It breaks off after 30 MB; I tried it three times and it's always the same moment. :( Ah well... -------------------- Encyclopaedia • Archives • Members • RSS [Topic / Forum] • Blog • Polaris • NaNoWriMo Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. I just downloaded it. Are you on dial-up? Give it a try on off peak time. [ Tuesday, July 08, 2003 02:26: Message edited by: Flavius ] Posts: 110 | Registered: Thursday, June 19 2003 07:00 |
