I'm stuck in Ivalice town with wounded Malachi. He doesn't seem to want to rest in any of the rooms with beds. I've spoken to all the characters, got the journal, explored everywhere possible (I think).
How to get out of town and back to the fort? I must be overlooking something very obvious. Please give a hint. Thanks!

Are you using Windows? Do you have anything other than the most recent version of the scenario? If the answer to both questions is "yes", you've run into a bug.

Get the latest version from here.

Yeah I hit the same problem. Best thing you can do is upgrade and restart.

You don't need to start over; just leave town and re-enter after you upgrade.

Thanks, fellow adventurers! I'll download again and try re-entering the town (don't want to fight the initial ambush again...). I'm on a Mac, so it must have something to do with an early version rather than a Windows snag. Thanks again.

You should really be careful with things like this. Sometimes, when I upgrade my own scenario .bas file for testing purposes, I get all kinds of errors, things that should be different... It can get you into real trouble when doing this to often.

The update doesn't change the .bas file, though, only the scripts.

It worked, anyway. I've just sneaked through the mines. Thanks again.
