I'm playing A Perfect Forest cause I thought it looked kinda interesting. However it's kinda boring. What's the gist of this game? What am I supposed to be doing?? I went into one little village "inhabited" by some beings (their race's name starts with an N, my character is one, I can't remember the name) and no body talks to you! I went to one village and you couldn't even go in the village. Is this scenario supposed to be like this?? If so, how do I get out?? Posts: 72 | Registered: Sunday, May 29 2005 07:00 |

He probably has the messed up BoA download with the incomplete version. Most likely, you have an incomplete scenario which was mistakenly included in the game download. The full version is around somewhere. EDIT: Here. [ Friday, June 03, 2005 13:43: Message edited by: PoD person ] Posts: 293 | Registered: Saturday, May 29 2004 07:00 |

Alright, I took my party out of the scenario (i didn't know the Character Editor could do that!), and I went to the link that PoD person gave me and downloaded the "full" version of the scenario and am going to try again. EDIT: Nope, same. I tried talking to the Nephils in Erarl and I get the same thing, no response. EDIT: Is there a way to get to the Nephil town without going through the sentries??? Uh, there's no town called Erarl in the scenario. The first proper town you encounter is Vikida. You have to kill some guards to get there, and you'll be taken prisoner for doing so, but all of that is supposed to happen. If the town is called Erarl, you're still playing the old, incomplete alpha version of the scenario that was accidentally included with a previous version of BoA. Delete it from your scenarios folder. [ Friday, June 03, 2005 22:22: Message edited by: Thuryl ] -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Ok. I did that, I took out the older version of the scenario and put the newer one in, now I'm really played A Perfect Forest. Um, okay, how do I kill that wisp thing that is draining my life away???? There's something I have to do with the mirrors to destroy the device, but I believe there's two places with mirrors in the Lost Cave - which one do I go to?? Move the mirror in the center of the map 3 spaces to the east, I think, and then take the other one in the SW corner, drag it out of the room, and use it to direct the other laser to the machine that it's pointing at. Go up to the machine that controls the Perfect Spirit and get the special encounter. They will then become mobile. -------------------- Bring back TM or DIE. To spread the hype, as well as cause your crush's name to appear on the screen, copy this into your signature. No. It's northwest. You have to poke around a bit. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Ok, thanks. Normally I'd try to figure this stuff out for myself, but where I'm at now, the Perfect Spirit thing drains my life when I take 5 steps and I have to keep going back to the Character Editor to revive my party. It's starting to get annoying!! EDIT: About those mirrors. Ok, I got them mobile - it took a lot of healing spells and about one visit to the character editor. Now, you said the one in the center move it three spaces east. Ok, it's not really center, it's left center. And by east you mean right, correct?? Cause I moved that one three spaces to the right. Now, the second mirror.... Is there anyway to pull it instead of pushing?? Cause either way I push it the stupid laser gets in the way and I can't push it out of the room. The key with the Perfect Spirit is that you have to go as fast as you can. You cannot pull the mirrors, I'm not sure where you are having trouble, care to give some coordinates? -------------------- Your flower power is no match for my glower power! The first mirror is west center, the room below where the device is that we need to destroy. I was told to move that one three spaces to the east, so I did. Then the next mirror is the one in the southwest corner. I was told to drag that one out of the room. Well, there's only so much pushing I can do before the laser gets in my way and I can't get it out of the room. Posts: 72 | Registered: Sunday, May 29 2005 07:00 |

OK, here's what I did (sorry if it's a bit sketchy). First, I pushed the second mirror west until it was one square east of the laser. Then I pushed it one space north and went around the laser. Finally, I think that I pushed it one space northeast and maneuvered it out the door and pushed it along laser beam that was directed by the first mirror you pushed, and stuck it in so that the laser destroyed the machine. I did it!! I did it!! Finally. Before I saw your last post, Fire Shard, I had managed to, somehow, get the mirror out of the room. I just couldn't figure out exactly where to put it. Now I don't die as I walk. Thank you soooooo much for your help!!!!! Posts: 72 | Registered: Sunday, May 29 2005 07:00 |
