My personal favorite development platform is Eclipse, which is primarily for Java, but has a C/C++ IDE extension as well. And apparently there is a version for Mac OS X. :) [ Sunday, March 11, 2007 09:41: Message edited by: Dr. Johann Georg Faust ] -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. Java is of the devil... So is this Eclipse really good? Cause I'm looking for something to replace jGRASP cause that software came from hell itself. -------------------- "I don't understand a word you just said. Try speaking American. Assuming you're using OS X, there's Apple's official developer tools. You have to create an account to get at them (I think), but they're free. -------------------- Barcoorah: I even did it to a big dorset ram. desperance.net - Don't follow this link Posts: 1798 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

What have you got against Java? It may not be applicable for all needs, and it often uses more resources, but it's a great language otherwise. Eclipse is itself a Java application, and you hardly even notice this while using it. :P -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. quote:Yeah, hardly notice it except when it takes ten minutes to start up or decides to think about syntax highlighting for five. :P I would personally recommend Apple's XCode. I find it faster than Eclipse and it's also quite customizable. -------------------- Überraschung des Dosenöffners! "On guard, you musty sofa!" Posts: 627 | Registered: Monday, March 7 2005 08:00 |

Well, don't run Counterstrike in the background. :P (Kidding - I know it takes less than that to slow it down to the speed of treacle. My poor little laptop can't even take Eclipse and Firefox well at the same time...) -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast.
