lol@you needing a message board to make decisions for you. just download it, if you dont like it, uninstall it. that simple.. you should get it though, its the most popular PtP program and, in my opinion, better than Ares or WinMX.. -------------------- finally, a superhero we can trust... quote:He is asking if he should get LimeWire pro, which is the upgrade of the free download that must be paid for. I just use the free version, and it does all that I need it to. I very rarely download music, and LimeWire basic works pretty fast at about 3-4 minutes a song (with DSL). I didn't vote because I don't have the upgrade, so I can't really comment on if it's worth getting or not. If you regularly download large files and would make use of it, why not get it? I assume you could always cancel the service if it is not exceptionally faster. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

I tried checking both boxes, but it wouldn't let me. Darn. It really depends on if you want to spend money on it and if what you're trying to download will really be worth as you look back on it years from now. -------------------- -ben4808 For those who love to spam: CSM Forums RIFQ Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

Confucius say, chicken with no legs, cannot cross road! I downloaded the regular Limewire, and it had spyware and every time I tried to search for any images or videos, I got tons of advertisements that had the exact name of what I searched for and stuff. It also screwed up my internet connection. I deleted it. Instead, I use Ares, or sometimes WinMX. Stughalf doesn't have any problems with it though. Maybe it's a Windows thing. I bet it was programmed on a Mac and had code that only affected Windows machines that creates all sorts of problems. Please don't revive three-day-old topics, especially not to tell people to do things they shouldn't. While I must confess that I find the idea of using the free version of a filesharing client to pirate its own paid version amusing in an ironic sort of way, this topic seems to have run out of steam, it's not really on-topic for the forums, some people are getting really close to discussion of illegal activities, and besides, I've been looking for a reason to use my new topic-locking gimmick. So... In the name of Sun Myung Moon, I'll punish you! -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Roots Hunted! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |
