Apologies. Got carried away what with silence being worth a thousand words and all that.

On the other hand, I have a question that does have to do with the number. 666 --> Nero? I was told once that both in the Greek and Latin bibles if you add the number for each letter in Nero's name in either language you get 666.

Still, it was interesting to see the increment in posts. I also would've thought that this time of year was not going to be any more post friendly that January.

I guess General right now is full of spam friendly topics whose threads are wandering aimlessly (but that's more or less constant, right?). Still, it has been a while since we had a long thread, the last one being the Root of all Evil. The last number of threads have made it to a few pages at most. Dying well deserved deaths in most cases.
I wonder, with the way the posts are increasing, what number would we have if we had one or two long threads going on.

Cool stuff, though. This tool, does it have a link where people can check it?

The same has been said of a lot of people in history, including the pope and George W. Bush. Ultimately, when you have a name, a number, and something to prove, you'll come up with some obscure system that gives you the answer you want.

Apparently, it picks up in March. It seemed to do so last year as well. But as I said, to get a more complete picture I need to keep it running for a couple of months. After all, it doesn't take any more bandwidth than someone who merely checks the forums once an hour.

Another long thread? Long posts? Possibly involving the acronyms IC and OOC?

The complete table with all measured times is here. Updates happen randomly and at odd times.

Letter -> numbers in old languages like Greek and Hebrew. Here's the math. More elaborate discussion.

Of course they do need the 'Caesar' before the Nero there, though...

You certainly find a lot of things really funny.

I can't recall when the anniversary is besides that it is in March, which you already knew.

Is that referring to the board/community, or Spiderweb Software? Because I'm pretty sure Spiderweb celebrated its ten year anniversary last Fall...

That includes the Ikonboard, right? Because Jeff registered on this board on September 18, 2001. Or was there some kind of restart?

So it (they?) would make it:

Snake
(metal)

Aries.

I just picked those sites kind of randomly. There are thousands. . .

Also.

I posed this question to an I Ching reader on the net:

"Will Jeff ever do another game that is no Avernum or Geneforge related?"

And got this

(there are many interpretations of Hexagram 52 and 15, you can google for them.)
