quote:I love the "puny brain" part. Seriously. Three and a half hours into the new day, when your consciousness begins to slowly dissolve itself into oblivion, you long to switch off your computer and sink into bed, even while your brain has already made the switch between today and tomorrow, or rather yesterday and today, there is nothing like supreme, unwitting irony to cheer you up. No, that was not meant to make sense. -------------------- The Encyclopaedia Ermariana <-- Now a Wiki! Thanks Thuryl. After many people recommenind me Evangelion I risked it and bought the set for Neon Genesis Evangelion. I haven't watched it yet, but within a month or two I'll know if I made a mistake. Hope not. Aran: it made sense to me. Edit: now that I've read the quote at the top of this page, I see that NGE was mentioned. Should've added 2 + 2. I never get called a girl on forums. Then again, no-one asks so I don't know wether that counts. -------------------- I'll put a Spring in your step. Polaris Posts: 2396 | Registered: Saturday, January 29 2005 08:00 |

Not judging by his profile, he isn't. There aren't too many girls named John. -------------------- My BoE Page Bandwagons are fun! Roots Hunted! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Besides, the 'his' in the signature rather gives it away. Gah. I wonder, does that advice apply to guy too("Things you don't say to guys on forums: 'I thought you were a girl'")? I've been called 'she' only once on these forums, and I still believe that was a typo. I wasn't particularly annoyed, though it worried me a little... :P -------------------- The Encyclopaedia Ermariana <-- Now a Wiki! I've been called "she" a few times. I think it's the -ael that does it when pronounced "iel." The general assumption, of which I too am guilty, is that people on the internet who have no obvious gender are male until proven otherwise. It works pretty well by the numbers, but it's a bit obnoxious. —Alorael, whose signatures help keep the number of people who misjudge his gender to a minimum. Usually between profile, writing stye, and general points of interest I can more or less figure it out. If all else fails, ask. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |
