PS- I know that they're interchangeable, but is that Rei Ayanami or Shinji's mother?
It's Lilith. In other words, all of the above.

You have seen EoE, haven't you?

Yeah...my exact thought.

Oh, and I am often mistaken for a guy on forums, so it's no big deal. Not everyone bothers to look at profiles before choosing a pronoun. ;)

BTW: Kelandon, that is an adorable kitty.

EoE? (Not "East of Eden"? Please.)

Here, I finally found a picture of me. I'm playing GameBoy c. 1992.

End of Evangelion, an anime movie famous for bringing an entirely new and tragically literal meaning to the term "symbolic wankery".

I love the "puny brain" part.

Seriously. Three and a half hours into the new day, when your consciousness begins to slowly dissolve itself into oblivion, you long to switch off your computer and sink into bed, even while your brain has already made the switch between today and tomorrow, or rather yesterday and today, there is nothing like supreme, unwitting irony to cheer you up.

No, that was not meant to make sense.

Thanks Thuryl.

After many people recommenind me Evangelion I risked it and bought the set for Neon Genesis Evangelion. I haven't watched it yet, but within a month or two I'll know if I made a mistake. Hope not.

Aran: it made sense to me.

Edit: now that I've read the quote at the top of this page, I see that NGE was mentioned. Should've added 2 + 2.

Then I rescind my comment- it is hentai.

And why the hell does she have wings?

I'm serious. Unless my memory is terribly off, the only things that ever had real live wings in Eva were the serieses and maybe birds.

Spidweb is the only place I have ever been referred to as 'she' before I needed to say anything.

I never get called a girl on forums. Then again, no-one asks so I don't know wether that counts.

Not judging by his profile, he isn't. There aren't too many girls named John.

Besides, the 'his' in the signature rather gives it away. Gah.

I wonder, does that advice apply to guy too("Things you don't say to guys on forums: 'I thought you were a girl'")? I've been called 'she' only once on these forums, and I still believe that was a typo. I wasn't particularly annoyed, though it worried me a little... :P

I've been called "she" a few times. I think it's the -ael that does it when pronounced "iel." The general assumption, of which I too am guilty, is that people on the internet who have no obvious gender are male until proven otherwise. It works pretty well by the numbers, but it's a bit obnoxious.

—Alorael, whose signatures help keep the number of people who misjudge his gender to a minimum.

Usually between profile, writing stye, and general points of interest I can more or less figure it out. If all else fails, ask.
