Misc seems to have gone forever now, and general just isn't the same. Sure, lots have run invisionfree or ezboards, but they tend to be ad-filled and die quickly, sadly.

So, I was thinking, what would you like a new board, ad-free, uptodate, running a system of your choice? (preferably Invision)? I could possibly even skin it to be like UBB or Ikonboard 2.x.

The reason why the new boards die is cause no one wants to go there cause they're either already on another forum(ie Desperance) or just don't want to go. And the few you can get to go there get dragged away to another forum site(ie what happened to the Abyss). Too many people try to make forum sites at the same time, without offering anything grand to make being there worth the effort. It's hard to get new member to any forum site, but it's even harder when you're competing with sites that are well established. If you created a forum site, the greatest advertising in the world wouldn't work well enough, cause you have to get a lot of people to keep it going almost as soon as you create it, or it will die.
