Thanks, Ephesos. Apparently I had a temporary lapse of my Vahnatai lore, as I neglected to "use" the crystals that teach the spells. I suppose that altar on the lower level is a mystery... -------------------- Necromancers aren't all that bad. It's just that a few bad eggs have given the profession a bad name. I recently cleared out the Basalt Fortress, and was looking forward to finding there the spells divine restoration and divine host, which should be there, according to the hint book. Unfortunately, I haven't found them, although I did find, on the lower level, an altar. When I click on it, I get a message saying that the altar is trying to transmit some sort of energy or message, but I can't fathom it, and get a headache instead. I presume that the altar is the source of the spells. Does anyone know how I can access them? My party has a combined arcane lore of 22, which is pretty high, I believe.
